All of our meat is traditionally raised slowly in a stress free natural environment without all of the additives and antibiotics that are required for intensively reared animals. When the time comes for the animal to be slaughtered they are handled with care so that they do not become stressed, after all a contented animal produces better quality meat than one that has been deprived of decent living conditions and travels vast distances to the abattoir.
The Butchers of Brogdale have plenty of experience; in fact two members of staff have 80 years butchery expertise between them! The Butchers of Brogdale also supply locally made cheeses and other delicacies. The locally produced cheese includes:
- Ashmore – a hard cheddar like cheese made in Dargate
- Winterdale a hard cheese made in Sevenoaks and
- Ellies Dairy which is a soft goat’s cheese made in Tonbridge.
