Gloucester Old Spot is the best known of all the British rare breed pigs it originally came from the Severn River valleys in Gloucestershire living in orchards mainly on a diet of wind fall apples – hence its name the “orchard pig”

At Brogdale we have a small herd of pigs that are breeding stock and pets. We also have rare breed pigs that are kept in the Alkham Valley in the same free range conditions that our pets are privileged to have.

We live in a lovely part of Kent with plenty of grounds which we felt were ideal to rear our own free range turkey's, they are free to roam and eat the surrounding chestnuts which fall this time of the year.

We also source Dexter and Sussex black cattle from local small holders in the surrounding area and are proud of the quality that they supply.
